Is A.A. for You? Twelve Questions Only You Can Answer

Welcome to the Central Office of Western Colorado

The Central Service Office of Western Colorado is a service branch of Alcoholics Anonymous including District 1, District 2, District 5, District 14, District 17, District 18 and District 20. Its primary purpose is to serve in support of Western Colorado groups of Alcoholics Anonymous in their common purpose of carrying the message to the alcoholic who still suffers. The Central Office of Western Colorado operations are assisted by volunteer personnel whom are guided by the Steering Committee, the Twelve Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous and the Twelve Concepts for World Service.

What is Central Office of Western Colorado?

Central Offices have been established to carry out the many functions of Alcoholics Anonymous that are best handled by a centralized office. Central Office is maintained, supervised and supported by AA Groups throughout Western Colorado. It exists to aid the groups in their common purpose of carrying the AA message to the alcoholic who still suffers. Central Office’s most crucial role is to maintain a 24x7x365 hotline – to always be there when anyone reaches out for help. We could not have a hotline without our 40+ AA member volunteers!

We have a bookstore at our main office with most every item that AA World Services offers. You can also order books, literature, coins etc on our online store. We strongly encourage groups to obtain AA books, pamphlets and coins from Central Office. Many books are priced lower than you can purchase at Amazon.

Central Office also maintains a website where you can find AA Meeting information, read our latest newsletter, read about AA events as well as general AA information. We also have online forms for new groups, new GSR’s and meeting changes.

We also oversee Bridge the Gap, helping to connect a person leaving a treatment center to one of our members that can meet them at an AA Meeting to introduce them to different members of the group.

Best Practices for Digital 7th Tradition for Online AA Meetings

Central Office of Western Colorado has established a Venmo Account where individual AA members and groups can contribute online. You will need a pin to send your contribution and the pin is 1857. @ https://account.venmo.com/u/CentralOfficeofWesternColorado . There is no fee to contribute via the Venmo app. The Central Office has also established an Online Donation Form at https://aa-westerncolorado.com/donations/donation where individual members and groups can contribute via Credit Card or Check. We’ve also come up with recommendations for digital 7th tradition practices for Online Meetings that you can download
